Following the success of last year's event, it was decided to have another Xmas Ride up to the Drift Cafe, Cresswell (one of our favourite venues) for a celebration meal.
The weather was far from seasonal, with a temperature of 15oC and a 21 mph wind from the south west. Cycling with a brisk following wind makes life easy but there's always the worry about the return jouney into a head wind at the back of the mind.
That's not the only concern because at this time of year hedges are being trimmed and cycle paths are strewn with thorns.
The outward journey was interrupted several times for punctures to be repaired. Nonetheless, a good time was had by all.
